Dollface

Barbara Palvin is one of my favorite models at the moment. With huge, beautiful eyes and a trademark pout, she is the epitome of the dollface look a la Natalia Vodianova. The look reminds me of eternal youth and springtime. :)

Simply stunning.

She's inspired me to wear less make up and go for a more natural look, and I'm loving it so far!

Music I Love

I've decided to take a page from my friend at Let It Reign and start posting music that I like and find particularly inspiring. I hope from doing this that I will discover more music and get to share different musical tastes with all of you.

DeLorean is actually a band from Spain and I love them wholeheartedly. I love remixes to songs, and RAC is one of my favorite remix artists. Together, they have created a song of pure gold. Love how this song always completely transports me. It's so easy to daydream to. :)

Inspiration

Spring is here, or if you live in Clearwater, it's pretty much been summer for a while. Either way, this warmer weather has inspired a new color palette for me.

Ah, I'm in cotton candy heaven.

Basically, I've been obsessed with pale pinks, beiges, sheer peaches, baby blues, seafoam greens etc, etc, for spring. They just feel so fresh and perfect. As it continues to heat up more, I'll add in stronger pinks and oranges for a tropical punch, but I'll get into that more in another post. :)

What inspires you for spring?

Alice + Olivia

New York Fashion Week has come and gone, but the impressions the fall collections have made will last forever. I was even lucky enough to be in New York for the beginning of Fashion Week and got to see the Rebecca Minkoff show in person (will be posting on that later).

Lincoln Center was filled with fashionistas from the world over. Famous bloggers and lesser-known ones (ahem, myself), established fashion icons and celebrities alike all came together this week for a communal love of fashion. A momentous occasion, and I cannot explain how amazing it was to be there.

I was originally planning on making one post to show the collections I loved for Fall Ready To Wear, but realized it would probably take three hours to read the result of that. Instead, I will feature my favorite ones little by little. Today's collection of choice? Alice + Olivia.

Metallic pants? Yes please!

LOVE

This collection was pure gold, and I'm not just talking about all the precious metals that are heavily featured in it.  The looks are eclectic, fresh, and most decidedly feminine. Alice + Olivia really nailed it. With metallics, fur, lace, sparkles, etc. and inspiration from every decade from the 20s to the 70s, the result is a modern, urban look that pays homage to the glamour of the past. Especially in this day and age, where we don't restrict ourselves to one specific style, there is a look here for everyone. Stacy Bendet, I salute you. :)

View From The Top

I couldn't help but notice that top knots seem to be all the rage lately. Whether on the runway or on fashion bloggers the world over, this little gravity-defying bun has taken the fashion world by storm.

Susie Bubble, from Style Bubble, looking adorable with her top knot.

Of course Lily Donaldson rocks the top knot, and looks amazing. <3

My own take on the look. Not quite as toppy as I'd like, but getting there. ;)

Simple and fresh, it works very well with more outrageous looks where big hair would detract from the outfit. Even with a less outrageous outfit, it evokes a look reminiscent of ballerinas and adolescence. A very innocent look that packs a lot of punch. I hope to see more street style incorporating this look!

What's your take on the top knot? Yay or nay? And for the fellas, like the look or not? The Man Repeller has proclaimed it a man repellant, but I'd like to hear it from yourselves. :)

I'm Baaack

I've been a bit preoccupied with volunteering at Clearwater Fashion Week, taking a little trip to New York and being just plain lazy. That's done now, and I promise I will be posting much more regularly now. :)

Some things that are on my mind:

Much love to you all! <3

Beauty Essentials

Products I swear by:

Yummm. This Organix brand shampoo and conditioner combo always leave me smelling like a tropical island. They also contain no sulfates, which I am adamant about with my beauty products.

5 minute wonder. Leaves my skin baby smooth and impurity free. Love that it uses ingredients from the sea.

Scrubs away the driest of flesh and smells amazing while doing so. How I love you, raspberry-scented body scrub.

The name speaks for itself, High Impact Mascara. Never have my lashes looked so long and full. If I had to choose just ONE makeup item, this would be it.

The mango version of this classic Burt's Bees chap stick is my favorite. It smells the best and goes on the smoothest. A life saver, for sure.

I put this on before bed every night, and the results are amazing, to say the least. What I like about this lotion is that it gets absorbed by your skin right away. Then, when you wake up after a night of insulating your lotioned body, your skin feels baby smooth! Always a plus in my book.

Last, but not least, water. This is the most essential ingredient for healthy hair, skin, body, etc. I have a bottle of water in my purse at all times and drink at least 4 bottles a day. If you make one change to your daily beauty routines, make it to drink more water. You'll thank me later. :)

These are the little things I use that make up part of my daily routine. What products do you use? Which are your favorites? I'd love to know. <3
